TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN---it appears Lex Luthor will be in the sequel after director Zack Snyder mentioned Luthor, "Superman is an alien. He comes from an alien world. Lex loves to call him an alien." Then director Kevin Smith added to Snyder's comment, "That's a spoiler."
Sequel "sources" say Terry O'Quinn (LOST) is a candidate to play Luthor. Earlier rumors had Bryan Cranston in the role, but Cranston denied he was involved.

DC COMICS---Guillermo del Toro said he's working on his movie JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK (with Swamp Thing, The Demon, John Constantine, Deadman, The Spectre, Zatara and Zantanna) and that Warner Bros. plans projects on all DC Comics superheroes, "We're still on (JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK), writing, and hopefully it will happen but there are no developments that are new. We're still at Warner Bros., they are making plans for the entire DC universe. All the superheroes, all the mythologies, and part of that is JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK. They're planning on TV, movies, and all the media, so we have to fit into that plan."

ENTOURAGE---supermodel Kate Upton (TOWER HEIST) is in talks to co-star in the movie, possibly as Vincent Chase's love interest.

MALEFICENT---movie poster released showing Angelina Jolie as the villainess in the 1959 Disney movie SLEEPING BEAUTY. Sharlto Copley and Elle Fanning also star.

OUTCAST---new Cinemax series based on the upcoming exorcism comic book by Robert Kirkman (THE WALKING DEAD).

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON---Elizabeth Olson confirmed she's playing Scarlet Witch.

VIVA LA MADNESS---sequel underway to the 2004 movie LAYER CAKE with Jason Statham in the role originated by Daniel Craig. The sequel involves international drug-dealing and money-laundering.

PETER PAN---movie underway about the origins of the young Peter Pan. Joe Wright (ATONEMENT) is in talks to direct.

BASTILLE DAY---movie underway about two Americans living in Paris, an artist and an ex-CIA agent, who team up to prevent an attack on the city. Idris Elba (THOR: THE DARK WORLD) stars.

WAHLBURGERS---new A&E reality series from Mark and Donnie Wahlberg about the family-owned restaurant in Boston.

CRAWLSPACE---horror movie underway about a family that moves into a haunted house. Phil Claydon (LESBIAN VAMPIRE KILLERS) is the director. James Wan is the producer.

SUMMER CAMP---horror movie about summer camp counselors who are infected and turn into crazed killers with the uninfected battling the infected.

Never would have thought of him. I know he's played bad guys before, but I haven't seen those roles, so I trouble picturing him as a villain. I love O'Quinn, but I think Cranston is better suited for Lex.

Jeez, aren't this girl's 15 minutes up already? She's been overrated since day one.

Aw, she's purdy. She can stick around awhile longer.

Eh. I don't think she's anything special. Rather plain-looking and dull-behind-the-eyes, IMO. I see more attractive women at my local Target or JC Penny.

I didn't know there was so much sausage meat in Cinderella et al.

I love Kate Upton to bits, but (from what little I know of the show) she could do so much better than an "Entourage" movie.

And Terry O'Quinn as Lex Luthor? One of those ideas that never crosses one's mind, but seems so perfect in hindsight. Now, if only there were a way to make this movie happen with another director...and writer...and composer.

Is it too late to scrap the project altogether?

With the prince, the king and the guy who carries the glass slipper on the cushion you do have some. Plus these things always get greatly expanded in the movies.

I've never really watched Entourage but if Kate turns up in the movie I'll take a look. (And in the field of Kates who really are overrated, Britain has the field sewn up thanks to Moss and Middleton.)

I like the idea of Terry O'Quinn as Luthor - more than the idea of Bryan Cranston as Luthor. However, it seems a little bit on-the-nose that every rumored Lex Luthor that we've seen has been seen on-screen with a bald head before - which leads me to believe that these rumors are wishful thinking on someone's part. Any actor can shave their head, and that opens up the pool for Lex Luthors much more than the rumors suggest.

I don't have much faith in any sequel to Man of Steel, so they can do whatever they want as far as I'm concerned.

MALEFICENT - Awesome poster. And Jolie can act. Plus she`s purrdy. Hurr hurr.

SUMMER CAMP - So, a situation-zombidy?...

CRAWLSPACE - The third movie with this title? Isn`t it? Maybe its a working title.

JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK - if they can find good stuff for each individual of such a team to do, it could be good. My sympathies for DC post Iron Man (#1) And Avengers... I think Marvel has a good rhythm right now. (That said, putting Marvel out-of-mind, there are some good stories in the DC vault.)

Though Wolverine is Logan... not "Howlett"... egad...

You can blame Marvel Comics for that, not the movie universe smile
