PERSON OF INTEREST---spoiler alert (see below)

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN---Warner Bros. registered possible titles for the sequel:

MAN OF STEEL BATTLE THE KNIGHT, MAN OF STEEL BEYOND DARKNESS, MAN OF STEEL BLACK OF KNIGHT, MAN OF STEEL DARKNESS FALLS, MAN OF STEEL KNIGHT FALLS, MAN OF STEEL SHADOW OF KNIGHT, MAN OF STEEL THE BLACKEST HOUR and MAN OF STEEL THE DARKNESS WITHIN.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE: THE REST OF THE STORY---Paramount Pictures claims it has owned the rights to the original movie since 1999 and will block the planned sequel. The sequel's producer claims the rights are in the public domain.

STAR TREK---JJ Abrams commented on reports of a new Trek tv series, "I have been hearing for as long as I can remember that CBS, who has the rights to the series, has just been saying they’re not interested. That’s the word I’ve been told."

THE STAND---director Scott Cooper (CRAZY HEART) has left the movie based on the Stephen King novel due to creative differences with Warner Bros. Cooper replaced Ben Affleck.

JACOB'S LADDER---James Foley (HOUSE OF CARDS) will direct the remake of the 1990 cult movie that starred Tim Robbins.

SANDMAN---Joseph Gordon-Levitt is reportedly in talks to star in the movie based on a David Goyer (THE DARK KNIGHT) proposal to Warner Bros.

THREE TO KILL---Colin Firth stars in this movie underway based on the French novel about a businessman in France who witnesses a murder and is pursued by the murderers. He then decides to reverse the situation and pursues them. Christopher McQuarrie (THE USUAL SUSPECTS, JACK REACHER) is the director.

THE RIGHT MISTAKE---Laurence Fishburne will star in this HBO tv series based on the Socrates Fortlow novels. Fishburne played Fortlow in the 1998 HBO movie ALWAYS OUTNUMBERED.

PERSON OF INTEREST---creator Jonathan Nolan commented on killing off Det. Joss Carter, "We felt that Carter's connection to police corruption from the pilot onward -- this is one of the themes of our show, the enemy within... For this story -- HR, police corruption -- it was a natural boiling point that would put her first and foremost into focus." Nolan added that Carter might return in future episodes, maybe in flashbacks.

This will have to air on HBO or Showtime, for obvious reasons. smile

I would be interested in any videogame where you sleep with Mathilda May circa 1985.

Thats one hell of a "Game Over".

What's wrong with just calling it Batman Vs. Superman?

Let's just call it like it is and announce plans for a sexed-up remake with a title like THE ABOMINABLE SNOWGIRL! (With a poster like Raquel Welch in ONE MILLION YEARS B.C.!)

About time they added a sexy look to that story.

Or, how about BIGFOOT, BIG GIRL! (Imagine, a lone hunter in twilight woods, abducted by a huge, hairy woman! Forced to become her sex slave!)

The possibilities abound....

Looking at what the new Hammer has done so far, guys I don't think it will be really sexup at all. If you have seen the original a interesting psychological thriller we will probably get a effort with better effects and flashier photography, but keeping the interesting classy story intact. Could be a good modern day version of a theme that have been fleetingly made over the years and unfortunately Hammer's was the only real good one. So let's get another good one.

I favor any title with the word "darkness." That means it'll be cool, like a JJ Abrams movie, right?

PLEASE DO.

Sorry for the earlier dp, I was having problems with it taking several minutes to post and did it inadvertently. Don’t know if it was my computer or what.
I get your point Dan, and I think Abominable could be a good remake, BUT; as soon as I see “a scientific expedition that is illegally climbing the mountains”, my “evil humans violating the environment and reaping what they sow” message movie radar alarms. I anticipate the inevitable hype and hyperbole to follow as it often does today. Hopefully I’m just jumping the gun. The original was fine just as it was, but the message in it was too “subtle” compared with modern films, I fear, and it will become another hyped-up message movie.
