No idea at all.

It looks like a painting.

Wild guess : is it from a Fassbinder movie ?

Mark, Grape Nuts was a little bit too obscure for me... Not to mention I was picturing "something" else... embarrassment

I wasn't sure how universal Grape Nuts is known - I chose it because it's a funny name for a cereal. smile

And yet I haven't seen this film nor do I intend to. It just seems to lend itself to punny clues!

You guys are moving in on me now. Getting close. Can't resist telling a little bit here. Although it is not one of the prouder efforts by me in the film industry, It's a bit of a long story, but the success of this film really came about because of a meeting with me and my line producer with the maker of this cult hit. He needed help dealing with the city guys to get this film shown and get pickup. We connected him with some guys in the city and lord and behold the film went on to some fame. I have one of the first rough copies of this film, the guy gave me before he got a distributor. I guess I was one of the first guys to see the film. Depressing as hell but very effective it was. In the back of my head I had a feeling this film would make it.Nice guy. I am glad for his success. Tough movie though, man a tough movie,

Thanks for the story about the movie Dan.
Maybe need to watch it beyond the 30 min mark, but like you say it's a very dark unpleasant film IMHO.

cant imagine how bad the rough cut was - i saw the finished product and to be honest it was pretty terrible.
After ten mins i was hoping an escaped serial l killer would break in and rescue me.
