GODZILLA---Amazon.com posted and later removed art for a new Godzilla book GODZILLA: WITH LIGHT AND SOUND! that includes a Godzilla figure that are a tie-in to the GODZILLA remake movie. It's not known if the art represents the actual Godzilla in the remake or if it was temporary art. The 48-page book includes a history of Godzilla and color photos from the remake movie. The figure has a "fire-breathing" light in its mouth and audio of his iconic roar. The book and figure will be released on April 8, 2014.
TOLKIEN---JRR Tolkien biomovie underway which will focus on his younger days at Pembroke College and his combat in World War I and how they impacted his works. Peter Chernin (RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES) is the producer.
TELL NO ONE---Gavin O"Connor (WARRIOR, MIRACLE) will direct the movie based on the thriller novel which was also made into a French movie. The plot involves a doctor who receives an email apparently from his wife---who was murdered by a serial killer eight years before.
THE STRAIN---David Bradley (HARRY POTTER, GAME OF THRONES) joins the cast of the FX/Guillermo del Toro horror series as Prof. Abraham Setrakian. He replaces John Hurt who originated the role in the pilot. Prof. Setrakian may have insight into helping a CDC team that is battling a vampire plague that is spreading throughout New York.
ARROW--The CW hinted that Solomon Grundy/Cyrus Gold will appear in the midseason finale.
MARVEL COMICS---Sony Pictures Co-Chairman Amy Pascal said about Sony's future movie plans, “We are going to access Marvel’s full world of Spider-Man characters, so be on the lookout for new heroes and villains.”
THE WOODS---new Syfy haunted house series from Chris Fedak (CHUCK) and Liz Phang (90210) in which a woman returns to a mysterious mansion from her childhood and encounters the entities that took her sister when they were young girls.
SLEEPER---movie underway based on the comic book with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon as producers. The script is by Shawn Ryan (THE SHIELD) and David Wiener (THE KILLING).
SWELTER---Jean-Claude Van Damme movie about a double-crossing gang that stole $100 million from a Las Vegas casino. Alfred Molina and Catalina Sandino Moreno also star.
FATHER AND DAUGHTER---Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried and Aaron Paul star in this movie about a successful, mentally ill Manhattan novelist and his equally troubled daughter.
THE CROW---Norman Reedus (THE WALKING DEAD) is the lead candidate for a character named "James" in the remake movie.
That's weird, it doesn't look any human being I've ever met in my life!
Humanoid then? LOL The face looks like that lizard guy from Spider-Man. I read on another board it looks like a cross between a lizard and a rottweiler.
Certainly looks better than the Emmerich version. I'm not even a fan of Godzilla movies, but I'm starting to get interested in this one, and the design certainly helps with that.
THE STRAIN - This film' plot sound very topical with New York after the election. You know draining citizens of there lifeforce, Another type of bloodsuckers.
