Yeah, James, I've been meaning to check out ETTERNA forever (no pun intended). I'll do so once the long queue of listening material has become a bit shorter. Love that song you linked to.

Glad you liked itsmile I hadn't listened to it in 10 years and had forgotten how amazing it is, and the entire album is that good!

I made myself something like five to seven suites of score from "The Saint", taking pieces from various cues and editing them into listenable suites. This is one of my personal favorites; maybe other who have not heard it, will hear something the like:

What I love about the album for The Saint is that although the film was mangled by studio recutting, which insanely removed the ENTIRE action finale of the film, the score for that whole section is on the album. I just wish we could see the original version. Philip Noyce said in an interview that he prepared both versions for home video release and hoped the full cut would be made available, but the DVD only contained the butchered theatrical version and his audio commentary made no mention of the original cut till a cryptic sentence or two at the very end of the film. Perhaps his original cut will surface on an eventual Blu-Ray.

The reason they cut the ending was SPOILER, that Elisabeth Shue originally died halfway through. Test audiences objected to this, and they reshot some scenes so she lived, but it required the deletion of the entire finale of the film, as her death was Kilmer's motivation to kill the villains.

Hey FB, I think you would absolutely ADORE the RED PLANET album!

Yes, I listened to some clips. Interesting that Peter Gabriel and William Orbit are there too.

Strange Days (particularly the song Fall In The Light, sung by Lori Carson)

I totally agree on that. The film is one of my favorites, but since it's dominated by songs, his score takes a back seat. However the love theme that finally evolves into that song is gorgeous.

The two best tracks IMO are the two by Deep Forest, "While Earth Sleeps" and "Coral Lounge". Massive.
