I also fail to understand why so many CDs from the same period in one batch. A little bit for everyone would have been more considerate.

Varese could have at least done one completely new release. It was all reissues.

Thank goodness for: every other label.

Devil's Advocate checking in.

Thank you, Varese, for reinstating the club. Personally, I'm thrilled to have "Suspect" and "Brass Target."

Two cents dispensed.

cool

...or even a sixties title, but I don't really give Varese much of a thought these days.

With all of the re-releases I would say they were out to get fast cash with this batch to help cover the concerts. Just a thought, because in truth the Golden Age releases do sell but not in the speed that the 80's sell. Mr. Townson needed to show his new partners that these type of releases sell and resell. Plus, the Encore releases were probably pretty easy to re-release.

Exactly. If the situation was reversed and it was multiple Golden Age titles, there would be a thread here from those who complain that there were no 80's, 90's or 00's titles, when those sell better and have a broader fan base currently.

Lol...it's like OST nerds *dying of thirst* in the desert, along comes Varese with an ice chest of original lime Gatorade...and the nerds get pissed off that it's not Mountain Berry Powerade. There has to be a book somewhere teaching them to master this skill of being a thankless baby. My secret? If I do not like any of the releases...I shrug, appreciate the mere existence of said label and said label's efforts and wait for the next release dates. Didn't have to wax da floor or sand da floor either. It's a self taught skill.

Well BRASS TARGET has never been on CD before. I'm getting it.

Didn't you guys just get Gunfight at the OK corral? Let those who here did not buy Gunfight at the OK Corral have some crumbs too please.

I'm more annoyed that they don't have samples working properly so I can decide what I want from this batch. No samples, no buy.

Hey, if you don't like what they put out, don't buy it.

There are plenty of Golden Age titles elsewhere.

I'm almost relieved, since I've been getting so many other releases lately.

(And, I'm also beginning to wonder what other unreleased Golden Age titles are still available?)

Other than a legit HELEN OF TROY, which no one seems to have any interest in, even though they keep bringing out multiple releases of other titles, from various eras....

Go figure.

Varèse, why you no give us all "happy ending"??

Oh, I see, very difficult to give sexually repressed white man orgasm.
Okay, better luck next time!!

Varese, keep doing what you're doing. More reissues of 80s and early 90s albums are always welcome, as I wasn't even alive yet when Suspect and Vibes were released, and I don't want to pay $100+ for 20+ year old, long out-of-print CDs. Your catalog has tons of 90s / 2000s albums that need expanding as well. That and I don't care for the majority of golden age titles. So keep rocking on the LP-to-CD releases, 80s reissues, and expansions. They're definitely suited to my taste!
