I'd like to thank Jon Broxton for this review -- http://moviemusicuk.us/2013/11/22/instructions-not-included-no-se-aceptan-devoluciones-carlo-siliotto/ -- because it alerted me to this lovely score. It has been a good year for warm, inviting scores, from Korzeniowski's Romeo and Juliet to Gordon's Adore to Eshkeri's delightful surprise Austenland and more, but Siliotto's Instructions Not Included has been the most immediately involving of them, to my ears. It remains to be seen whether it stands the test of time, but for now I can't stop playing it. Definitely my favorite Siliotto score in years. Check it out!

ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL!!! Thank you so much for the INSTRUCTIONS NOT INCLUDED review, Jon, and for the cue submission, Petr.

This is one of those films that didn't get much screen exposure in my neck of the woods, so it was off my radar screen.

And I do believe that I have...err...somewhere here...I'll find it...Hmm, maybe later...It's on a back burner somewhere, waiting to be played...an Academy "Best Original Score" Promo of the score from February-March of this year. It's maddening to know that I have something this good playing hide-and-seek with me.

And I'll try to track down the Sony Music Mexico commercial release for the songs, as I believe that the Academy Promo is score-only.

Ahh, a nice way to start the day!

Ron,
The Sony Music Mexico Commercial release has 29 tracks. 1-10 for the songs and 11-29 for the score!!!

I've had a chance to compare three different score CDs of Carlo Siliotto's INSTRUCTIONS NOT INCLUDED:

(1) FYC Promo (Golden Globes???) (Cardboard Case - Photo of Dad & Daughter)....9 cues...........20:03
(2) Commercial CD Release on Sony Mexico (Jewel Case)......................................19 cues...........30:24
(3) FYC Promo (Oscars???) (Jewel Case - Sign with Title of Film).............................45 cues...........48:14

So, I guess the last one is "the one to get" for the most complete version of the score.
Happy hunting!

Is the FYC "Oscar" promo pressed or a CD-R?

**********************************************************************

Both of the FYC Promos are CDRs.

The shorter one has no identifying record label or movie studio information.
The longer one says "Copyright 2013 Pantelion Televisa + Lionsgate."
