Perhaps they could recover more early Sellers films and instead bury all of his last ones in that same dump.

I could never get into "Being There," and I saw it in the theatre as soon as it was released. And when I saw it on cable, I couldn't understand why so many people seemed to like it. For me, it was kind of creepy.

BEING THERE? No, although that one is overrated IMHO. I watched it once, years ago, and it seemed to me a bit like a Japanese movie meditation transposed to Europe, very aloof. I meant stuff like The Prisoner of Zenda, The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu & Revenge of the Pink Panther.

Most of the real genius movies of Sellers were made in his early period, clever satires like 'I'm All Right, Jack' where he played a corrupt trade-union bloke, and inspired fun like 'The Ladykillers'. They're all worth a gander. And of course, who could forget, 'The Case of the Muckinese Battlehorn'? Not a lot of people have seen that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7RHYyJenDM Music by Edwin Astley.
