I'm not into predictions or guesses.

I far prefer being pleasantly surprised.

0-0 Delerue titles from American labels, just like 2013.

Oh come on folks ... for most people this will not 'predictions' but wild and baseless guesses!

(Or, list your grails. Again.)

Maleficio, we've had clear indications that 'Tours Du Monde' is coming out and I really hope Intrada gets Delerue's Something Wicked out. Also, Delerue seems to have Music Box records interested, so, I'm confident we'll get some Delerue.

On John Barry, I really, really, really doubt we'll see any James Bond score releases, let alone an expanded Moonraker. The only thing I can imagine coming out is Howard The Duck and my wild, baseless guess would be on La-La to do it. And maybe Silva Screen will finally get this Tamarind Seed project out.

I imagine you'll be able to fill your boots with Goldsmith, even if that's including lots of scores that have been out but previously sold out. That's about the only safe bet.

I can tell you some things I'd like to see, including some of John Barry's rejected scores (Goodbye Lover, Year Of The Comet) but I have little confidence we will.

Cheers

You mean past performance isn't the best predictor of future results?

Well, no. smile Intrada has the Disney license so these seem very reasonable guesses. LLL did Jerry's STTMP and they like to do animated releases so I peg them for NIMH. It was indicated in several threads Moonraker's tapes are not lost, and some Bond expansions could be coming. Also BSX has done some Poledouris re-releases.

Not so much predictions, as wish lists! Oh well

Goldsmiths Flint albums from Intrada, well they can't take that much longer over them!

The Ten Commandments, again Intrada

The Great Race OST, hopefully, & again I'd think Intrada

A lot of great & interesting release from Kritzerland - I hope Henry Hathaway is being considered for a, Director At 20th Century Fox Box, a lot of good scores still unreleased...& maybe a chance to buy White Witch Doctor for those that didn't buy the Herrmann box.

A few more LP's getting a first time CD release. Mandel's Harper, Bernstein's The Silencers, Lai's I'll Never Forget What's 'isname.

The Towering Inferno re-release from someone (or maybe not).

The Outlaw Josey Wales in 2014?

Just two John Barry releases in 2013 and to be honest we are probably not too far from the end of what is possible. However I believe a couple of the following could happen in 2014:

The Legend Of The Lone Ranger (Intrada)
Howard The Duck (Intrada)
The Tamarind Seed (Silva)
Peggy Sue Got Married (expanded) Varese
Year Of The Comet (Varese)
Goodbye Lover (La La Land)

Would be nice if the major Barry grails, Mister Moses and Sinful Davey, were found but I don't think so.

Would also be nice if Barry's final project 'The Seasons' emerged but nobody can be sure just how much was completed and there might be family reluctance anyway.

As a John Barry fan, I end 2013 grateful and excited by all the great scores already released and enter 2014 hopeful that a few more gems await us.

My prediction is that there will be some big releases that many people here will immediately download from one of the illegal sites, and then complain about endlessly.

I have a prediction Intrada will OWN 2014, followed by Varese and its rebirth.

Kritzerland will dominate the Golden Oldies, while Music Box and Quartet will continue to surprise us all.

Perseverance and BSX will have their best year ever!

As for us...

I predict nobody will release Looker.

I'm hoping for an expanded Somewhere in Time.

OBSESSION (Herrmann) - More of a pipe dream than a possibility.

I'd be happy with anything from Barry, Williams, Donaggio, Goldsmith, or Fielding, too.

It would be really, REALLY nice to get at least two or three of these at some point next year. (I'm aware that LLL is working on Tiny Toons)
