I remember that this came out after Gary Cooper's passing - so it was a bit odd(then)for me as a youngster to see a new film with a famous actor in the lead who was dead. It sort of cast a pall over the whole movie - especially with him being the prime suspect in this thriller - but it was actually a decent film. But i dont think that it did very well at the box office .
