The other day on YOU tube I saw a very nice quote from a man who has really appreciate film music. it seems mostly the dramatic emotional traditional type film score. I quote what he said. ----I am a member of a heavy metal band in Arizona and I found that film scores have a ability to inspired one to succeed in life whatever your goal is.If it was not for these amazing film scores I myself would not have been successful with my own goals. Film scores give you that gut feeling to want to succeed , otherwise we have nothing- end quote. Thinking about this statement for awhile I realize how it was one of the nicest thing ever said about the art form of film music. Here was a guy who unlike most of us didn't fall into the spell of film music as a lifelong fan but one who actually in his own music work does not even do the music he is admiring[hard rock band]But he realizes how aspiring film scores can really help the average viewer in life.Wow, I never really thought about that exactly the way he see's it but the more I think about it I think he has a great point, that maybe some of us real fans may not realize how these scores is effecting the average movie viewer.
It's obvious from other comments put up here on a daily basis how film music helps people around here with their moods, life situations and aspirations. I suppose all music does that for people, in some sense, but us film music fans REALLY connect with some of the amazing music these film composers - throughout the years - have given us.
