Dear Ford: What upsets me is your arrogance and nasty tone. Or your reading of it that way, I'm sorry but I live in the real world and you don't seem to challenge anything I've stated thus far, do you? Some of us still have things called amplifiers with speakers attached....and we can tell the difference. which makes you about .0005 of the folks who consume music... I'm not saying the ITUNES format is the best, but if you just want to LISTEN to the music, it works out fairly well and makes such releases as the one that stated this thread COST EFFECTIVE to release. Would you rather them not do it on ITUNES? We can accept less quality... But noting its deficiencies does not make us whiners but those who strive for better. Chill... Oh please, 20 years ago scores like this would have never seen the light of day, today ITUNES make it possible. I think that is good thing indeed. Ford A. Thaxton

No CD-No Buy Your loss if you wanted the MUSIC... Your choice, but don't whine that the music isn't available either. Ford A. Thaxton

That's right. As the customers we are all entitled to expect at least some level of quality of the product we are supposed to spend our money for. Since there is no good quality product available, I am not going spend a single penny on it. No CD = no sale. You've been living with 16bit 44.1 for the last 30 years.. And here is a reality check you won't like: There aren't enough of you who would buy this specific score to over the costs of putting it out on CD. That's the cold hard truth of the matter. If you don't want to download it, fine that is your choice. But don't pretend that if you want to hear the MUSIC, it's not available either. Ford A. Thaxton

Most folks listen to there music on ear buds off their phone or or some sort of digital device, boom boxes linked to their IPOD or some digital device or just in their car. May be true, but I'm not going to squander my state of the art Stereo System. It is almost like having an orchestra in my room. I have enough CD's to last 10 lifetimes, so if they eliminate CD's. I will not buy downloads. I did once, the Copland film music on Naxos that was never issued on CD, that I never listen to. Your choice, but if you don't what I stated about where folks LISTEN to their music, go ahead and research yourself. Ford A. Thaxton

My Father and I also have great stereos and that is where we listen to most of our scores. I have nights where I come home from a stressful day at work, sit on the couch and play music with the lights out to end the day. Yes, I have a car stereo, but there is too much noise to fully enjoy the music performed. I do have an mp3 player which I use when I am on my daily run, but that is to just past the time while running. We also have enough CD's/LP's of original scores to last a lifetime, so when the CD does disappear we will survive. Would love to have some more Debney in my collection, but not by download.
