Thanks for all the great entertainment, Mr. Pack. The OFAH episode where Trigg explains how he received a medal for saving the town of Peckham money (for using the same broom in his work for twenty years) is a favorite television viewing moment.
Never really a fan of any of the sitcoms he was in, but my kids know him as Barty Crouch senior (David Tennant's old man) in Harry Potter. And he gave the world Emily L-P as well. Pancreatic cancer, damn it.
I'd forgotten all about Emily, to be honest. I had quite the hots for her back in the day, especially when she was in 'Wish You Were Here' Seems she has had a rough time of it in recent years, unfortunately...
The broom line is quality, and the one about two decades.
My personal fave was when del is getting back loads of dodgy video players coz they dont work. marlenes husband says "del those bloody video machines - 50 quid but you need an electrician from NASA to make them work!!
Don't like "Vicar of Dibly", women's idea of humor is a terrible thing to endure. He was hysterical in "Only fools and horses" though.
A sign of him being a good actor, is the fact that besides being a very convincing idiot in "Only fools and horses", he played "Ramos" in "The professionals", a seriously very dangerous and really creepy hitman/ terrorist for hire who could have stood his man in any Bond film.
Both David Jason and Roger Lloyd Pack are of a small group of actors who can play different characters in a totally believeable way and totally different from each other. They are not their most character in merely a different coat, or "famous actor" who was character A now being famous actor as character B, they really are different in persona. I know of very few who have that ability.
