I have just made a discovery regarding the Ennio Morricone soundtrack VERGOGNA SCHIFOSI. The original 1969 Ariete LP release (ARLP 2003) presents an obscure and possibly under-acknowledged credit. The second track of Side A, “Guardami Negli Occhi”, is credited to “H. Nora and Morricone”. This cue does indeed stand out from the other five tracks in that it has more of an early 60s rock style. The other five cuts coalesce, independent of “Guardami Negli Occhi”, to form a highly unique, conceptually stylistic suite. I have no idea who “H. Nora” is (or was) and I can find no details beyond this single credit. It does appear as though H. Nora’s VERGOGNA SCHIFOSI credit has never been reproduced on any of the much later LP and CD incarnations of this magnificent score: Carosello Records HCLP 17 (2009) / Curci CU 005 / Fin de Siècle Media FDS30 (2008) / Avanz Records SP/CR 00004-00005 (1996). I suppose one reason for this neglect would be if Nora's cue credit has only ever appeared on the Ariete LP. This record album is cited in "McNally's Price Guide for Collectible Soundtrack Records" as being "extremely rare, possibly the rarest Morricone soundtrack", and this 1990 guide goes on to list the value of the record at $600.00. It should be considered that the guide, while otherwise a very fine resource, is infamous for having low-ball pricing due to "slanted" pricing suggestions from some of the collectors employed (and trusted) by the authors of the book - at least this is what I have heard from older collectors. VERGOGNA SCHIFOSI could, by now, easily be worth several thousand dollars. It is likely very few soundtrack aficionados or professionals ever get to inspect an actual copy of this record, leading to H. Nora's track credit being forgotten.

Hello John,
The credit « H . Nohra » is indeed a misprint for the lyricist Audrey Stainton Nohra (sometimes mentioned Audrey Nohra), who wrote a good number of songs composed by Morricone. This artist signed around 15 movie songs with him, among them the Ballad of Hank Mac Cain, from “Machine gun Mac Cain” by G. Montaldo (1968), starring J. Cassavetes, and P. Falk.
Several tracks from Vergogna schifosi were sung (not always with lyrics though) by Edda dell’Orso and Gianna Spagnulo, the two great female usual singers used by Maestro Morricone (source : MSV # 114, 2002, interview with G. Spagnulo).

I didn’t know that the original LP was so high priced, since I have only the CD coupled with "La stagione dei sensi", which is enough for me.

Nohra is also qaud-credited for a song (with De Masi, Alessandro Alessandroni, and Ettore Lovecchio ("sung by"; credited as "Raul", a misspelling of a nick-name he uses, "Raoul"), for:
"Sette winchester per un massacro" (AKA: "Renegade Riders"/"Payment in Blood", and other other alternate U.S.A. names)
