I wouldn't want to see released. I think every score deserves to be released. By any composer.

In a perfect world I agree. Every score should be available.

ditto ditto, ditto- guys I agree with you 100%, You know it's funny, of course not really funny, but when you think of it, music is music, with all the other musical genres popular in different periods of history and cultures , be it, rock, soul country, blues jazz, classical etc. etc. etc, since the turn of the 20th century one could attain this music by LP's, 45's, cassette tapes, 8 tracks, cd's for the most part . However original music simply because it is done for films have not been so lucky, One may say well if you can't get the music on a format you at least have it on film, while obviously a composition say for jazz if not put on one of these formats , you just can't hear it.That was and is the slight advantage of film music over other types of music, However slight is the word when you figure up until recently how much fine music could only be found from the films not on any other format. This also have plagued theatre music as well but to a much lesser extent. In would be nice if one day all music from films were available on a format, It will never happened IF just for the fact do you realize how many films have been made worldwide? such an incredible feat is not plausible in the type of world the entertainment industry is.

TO HENRY- But you know that famous statement be thankful for small favors in this life and for those under 30 years old who don't remember the days when a very small minority of soundtracks were put out and we were happy for anything we did get. Now while of course there is still a large amount still not available, there is also a large amount that is available. As the film fanatic said years ago when they talk about lost films and fret upon it, Come on guys , there are too many different films that are available to be seen now, do we really have time to search and wonder what is lost in that giant pile of films. We are not talking about finding humans after an earthquake.HOW TRUE THAT STATEMENT IS.

And that includes television scores (episodes, library music, films or miniseries, some of which were only seen once!)
