I decided to start a new series of videos on Film.Music.Media. As I went through some of the rough footage I've shot I noticed I had some cool clips worth sharing. So as I filter through and moving forward, anything worthy as a "musical moment" will get posted. This first one is Michael conducting his Into Darkness score live at the Varese Sarabande 35th Anniversary Gala. It was the premiere of his score as the movie nor the score hadn't come out yet. It was tremendous. I also have Hans Zimmer's performance of Driving Miss Daisy/Man Of Steel medley and John Powell conducting How To Train Your Dragon from the Varese event. Those will follow soon. Also full video coverage of Mr. Hackman's 4th Annual Fans Of Film Music will be coming soon. Hope you all enjoy!

He really did a Driving Miss Daisy/Man Of Steel medley? Jesus.

As far as the other stuff, go for it. I watch all the live film music performances on YouTube.

This happened right when that Man Of Steel trailer came out that showcased his theme. So it was like a little surprise. Just halfway through his Driving Miss Daisy set they switched gears and did a nice quiet variation of it with the orchestra. It was pretty cool.

Your mileage may vary, but it didn't work so well for me. Pretty dumb idea, really. I can see him coming out and playing the new Man of Steel theme as a surprise and then going into Driving Miss Daisy, but inserting MoS into DMD was .... less than successful.

[joke about inserting MoS into DMD removed even though it was totally awesome]
