See the entry for today that says "This morning's #semifreddis #pastry #winners at the Claremont #casualcarpool in Berkeley!"

The van drove up and handed out six huge boxes of free pastry, apparently as a promo.

Little old me is standing in line 2 ahead of these folks in the picture, and missed out. No loss to me, since I don't eat stuff with sugar in it.

But I observed to the woman ahead of me that it would have been nice if they'd given them out to the homeless instead....

That's how it is, with many people looking for anything free. You could put up a sign reading FREE FLU and people would fight for it!
