Received mine today. Great sound! What a great score by the Maestro.

The BEAGLES AND FOX Hunt cue I could listen to on an endless loop for days! Would love to have seen him conduct this truly wonderful exuberant masterpiece cue! It is for me one of his greatest cues in his entire career! And the orchestrations are simply superb. The orchestra performance flawless!

Just Awesome!

Thanks Mr. Townson and Varese for such a great release!

Indeed! Couldn't ask for more on this. After all these years of lousy sound fragments and this and that snatch of sound, great to have it all in such a perfect package!

" If you haven't bought this CD, what exactly is your problem? "
Well, my problem is I never LIKED the score and I'm a huge Jerry Goldsmith fan...

well, therapy is actually needed...
As expected, this release is still not sold out. Is Goldsmith fandom shrinking as much as Fielding's?

No, I do not believe Goldsmith "fandom" is shrinking. I believe there are not as many people that like his earlier works. I love almost everything that Goldsmith has written and I purchased this, but it is not one of favorites. After listening to it all weekend, I still feel that way. Some of his earlier works just do nothing for me and this is one of those titles. There may be there are others out there that feel the same way. I have no problem with mono, but I have read here that some do have a problem with mono.

We love the Beagles And Fox cue.

Varese still has copies of The Red Pony, A Gathering Of Eagle, Freud and Chinatown at 3000 copies, some even at reduced prices. Why have they not sold out?
