You can count me in on this one Thor. I've been waiting for something like this among NYC fans for a long time, so write to me and I will give you my contact information.

Great! You don't have to put your e-mail adress here, though, if you don't want to.

I hinted at this in the first post, but I'll say it a bit more explicitly now:

Is there anyone living in NY who would be willing to house me for a night or two?

I saw on the valentine's day thread you right now not involved with a lady. You do know New York has some the prettiest woman in the world. So you got six days, have fun.

Ha, ha...yeah. But first I need accomodation, then I need to arrange the get-together, then I need to make an itinerary. If there's any time left after that, I'll think about the chicks.

I'm in the Trenton, NJ area, about a 90-minute train ride away from NYC. I'd certainly love to meet a bunch of FSM colleagues for an evening.

The evenings of Monday (June 2) or Wednesday (June 4) would work the best for me to come into the city. I have evening office hours on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

As things firm up more, I can send my contact info.

I've booked my hostel at West 23rd Street (Chelsea) and am currently looking into potential places for our get-together. I'm thinking about the Chelsea Brewing Company, because I love beer. But before I book anything, could any of you locals recommend a place?

As I'm dependent on public transportation, it can't be too far away (lest I miss the last train).

I can recomend a place:
Chelsea Manor
138 West 25th St (btw 6/7 Aves), website: http://chelseamanor.com/

Its just a few blocks walk from where you are staying and its a large space that I've attended large size meetup groups before. Great for group discussions and overall comfortable hanging out.

Take my email addy down from post earlier in this thread if you need any furthur help with NYC planning.

Finally something in New York? what isn't there in New York? I never realized until I left New York how much there is in New York. Well I know one thing in New York that is gone, the nice central park carriage ride on warm nights. Thanks to a demon from hell.
