The samples sound interesting. Does anybody know the full score? Thoughts?

I find to be one of the most entertaining soundtracks I heard this year & well worth the time and money (this is all opinion of course. The other one's being Roque Banos' Evil Dead, Micheal Giacchino's Star Trek Into Darkness, Atli Orvarrson's Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters & Hans Zimmer's The Lone Ranger...so take my opinion with a grain of salt. nobody else I know liked the last two scores)

but if that doesn't convince you look up Desert Star Septic from that album. It's a great song with a Morricone inspired tinge to it

I haven't heard the score on it's own but in the film it was barely noticeable. If you like scores that tend to be more like sonic wallpaper it might be something you like (for example Oblivion).

I actually loved Zimmer´s THE LONE RANGER - and I did enjoy the samples for HANSEL & GRETEL (haven´t heard the whole score yet, waiting to see the movie first).

I do not enjoy sonic wallpaper, by the way (my screen name might suggest what kind of score I love). But I have warmed considerably towards contemporary scoring techniques and can appreciate now scores concentrating on texture.

Love the score. The film..not so much. It marked the end of my total devotion to Ridley Scott movies. Still play the soundtrack a lot though. A really great and listenable album from start to finish.
