Wow. With such a description, I'm afraid you're the one losing out in the personal attack section, Mr. Jack, especially for someone you've never even met.

I believe the Dutch have a saying for people like Seth MacFarlane - "That which fills the heart overflows from the mouth."

Oooh... subtlety.

MacFarlane is a racist, sexist, smug piece of shit. I can't think of a more punchable celebrity right now.

Have you ever heard of Cherry Chevapravatdumrong?

She is female.

And Thai.

And employed as co-executive producer and writer of numerous episodes of Family Guy by that racist sexist misogynistic scumbag Seth MacFarlane.

Presumably that is just so he can shag her after she has cooked his Noodle supper for him. No wonder he is smug, eh genius?

He also donates to charities.

It doesn't undo the fact he's a pretty terrible person.

fisch: Re: STAR WARS: EPISODE VII: Many Star Wars pre-production issues, an 'inadequate' central story which nobody would stamp off on, a problematic initial release date and an 'indecisive' director (J.J. Abrams) with the hardest gig in the industry. It's not going to be a cakewalk, but it will be a product shipping with the majority of its original parts.

With the original stars (Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher) now almost old enough to be the grandparents of their original selves, I think that that's a bit of a stretch.

Piers Morgan ranks way ahead of Mr. MacFarlane in my list of punchable celebs, even if PM wasn't the man who gave us "We Saw Your Boobs."

How does their age make it a stretch? If anything, it's a prerequisite for being "original," since the original movie itself is now, well... "old," as much as it pains me to say that. The original stars can't be as young as the movie.

(Though I should also note they haven't officially been confirmed yet, either, though it certainly does look as though they'll be in it.)

The irony here - that some people call MacFarlane a racist and then you say you enjoy him, followed by making a racist stereotype comment - just sort of proves everything already stated?

Way to go, George Pickett - just charge straight into those guns.

He could eat kitten sandwiches for all I care. I think the guy is very talented and whether he is nice or not isn't important to me. I don't want to date the guy.

To be honest the same applies for any celebrity. I met Jerry Goldsmith a couple of times and he came across as grumpy, ungracious and intolerant - frankly a bit of an arse. Didn't stop me loving his music.

One cannot imagine why he acted that way, considering the company he was asked to keep in that brief passage of time.

Uhm....I think that's his point. Using the stereotypes Mr. Jack mentioned against him -- a bit like FAMILY GUY, actually. You know, satire and all that. I thought it was by far the most clever response in this thread.

... I don't think you understand what satire is if you're using that word so inappropriately.

(Actually I *know* you don't understand satire, going by your abuse of the word.)

Satire is always going to be lost on individuals who have an IQ that is lower than their shoe size.

You should be nicer to Thor.

(I'm not sure why but it sounds nice.)

Satire = The use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people’s stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

And where in that definition does it cover, for example, sex jokes at the expense of Stephen Hawking and his having ALS?

Stephen Hawking has admitted that, if in great pain, he may consider assisted suicide.

Or "Task Manager", as he calls it.

Insert "witty" retort by LeHan here.......
