Just an interesting story that aired on NPR's Morning Edition today about singer Linda Perhacs. In it she discusses Leonard Rosenman a little in terms of his encouraging her to pursue music and collaborating with her. Gives a little insight into Rosenman as a person aside from being a fabulous composer. The story itself is interesting too even though Perhacs music might not be for everyone.
Rosenman produced her 1970 debut album and was credited with electronic effects, arranger, producer.
He always struck me underneath that gruff exterior as an old softy and quite a "hippy" in his own right. I think they called film composers like him back then, "the long hairs".
Linda has a very nice spiritual healing voice and this album is quite refreshing, relaxing and beautiful. Really really nice right now.
