Some years back I purchased (from Intrada maybe?) what was described as a "Composer Promo" of the score. It did indeed have extra tracks. Even combining the two CDs, however, leaves us short of the full score. There are 21 unique tracks between them (vs. 14 on the Varese release).
I would certainly be interested in a proper release of the full score. Lots of fun to be had.
Just rewatched this. The OST runs 35:59, the movie runs 92:00, and the movie is scored almost wall-to-wall. I would definitely say there’s a ton of unreleased music that would really flesh out the score. Varese, where you at?? Lol

Bumping this up after another listen. We desperately need more adventure scores like this, particularly given the current state of film and scores. Lalaland, Intrada, Varese... anyone interested or working on an expansion?
Pretty sure this is a Varese-in-perpetuity title, similarly to the “other third Mummy”, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (which Debney also did some great unreleased work on, substantially fleshing out Randy Edelman’s score). Intrada released the first two scores in the series, complete... and LLL I think did a random Scorpion King sequel. But maybe Varese could tackle these two for expansion. I’d buy it for some prime adventuresome Debney.
I’d buy both in a heartbeat! I’ve always felt that Debney is at his best when he’s in adventure mode, and we don’t really get those great big, brassy adventures scores from the 80s and 90s anymore! The Orville went a long way towards rectifying that, but for my money, nothing beats a good old fashioned swashbuckling action yarn
Awesome! I'd been searching for some bts session footage for quite some time and somehow never came across this video!
Coincidentally I just bought the film on 4K (along with a few others) this week; relistening to the music again really made me want an expansion. There's just some great unreleased material in this score that deserves attention. Not to mention next year marks the 20th anniversary.
I know there is a short video of Goldsmith working on The Mummy but does anyone have the footage from the recording sessions for The Mummy Returns? I seem to remember something being available on either Sinfonia of London's page or on the CTS page but I can't find it anymore.

I’ve been looking and I can’t find it....
Has anyone else noticed how often Debney quotes Silvestri’s original Predator score? Particularly in Scorpion King. I’ve always wondered if it’s a case of temp track or his love for that score. He still references it here and there in The Orville...
I just discovered the extended cut of this film on DVD (and strangely missing on Blu-ray)! Definitely has more unreleased Debney music, and there is very little of the film that isn’t spotted with score. This has very quickly become my holy grail of unreleased complete scores! This could actually come close to rivaling Cutthroat Island in scope and grandeur...
