I just noticed today that the score is by Zimmer, with Lisa Gerrard on several tracks. It wasn't even on my radar to check out the music before, but now I'm wondering if we got a Gladiator-light score outta this. Has anybody listened to it yet? The samples on Amazon feature a LOT of dialogue over the music, which immediately turns me off to checking it out on a whim...

Hmm, didn't know this. Are some of those tracks taken from The Bible?

Only Lorne Balfe is credited as composer on imdb, so I guess I have to send them an update. :-D

Please change subject to reflect "Hans Zimmer" in quotes.

I picked this cd up the other day at Walmart. I already had The Bible cd and thoroughly enjoyed it so I decided to try this as well. There are several tracks which are exactly the same as on The Bible cd but the rest are new. There is however a lot of dialogue on the cd so that can get a little annoying. Overall though I am glad I picked this up.

Lol! I wouldn't worry though; we won't confuse them. smile

I read on another score message board the tracks from Son of God that are repeated from the Bible are new recordings. The poster said they sounded better because they were done with live instruments (he also said the choir is still synthetic and many cues have dialogue running throughout the tracks). I know there is dialogue, but can anyone confirm they are new recordings?

Thanks.

So, is this a prequel to Passion of the Christ? Or a re-boot?

How much new material there actually is?
Perhaps I should better get The Bible in case those tracks were dialogue-free...
