This concert project was sucessfully funded. Actually it was funded well over the requested amount. The performance will coincide with G-Fest in Chicago in July. Given the success of this, is it reasonable for one of the soundtrack labels to consider a kickstarter-like campaign to fund a project?
Musician cost for fifty musicians in Chicago - maybe ten grand tops. Venue cost in Chicago - they don't address that, but let's be generous and say five grand (one can get the 1400 seat Alex Theater for a one-nighter for not much more than that). Incidentals - let's be generous - three grand. You do the math.

Attorney fees for jumping through all the legal hoops required by Toho Studios - priceless
The concert IS going forward as planned, this upcoming Saturday the 12th, at the Pickwick Theater in Park Ridge Illinois. Suites from each Godzilla film scored from Ifukube. I will personally be conducting three of the suites, with my good friend John DeSentis doing the other eight (it's his show, after all - I'm just a guest conductor).
Orchestra rehearsals start tonight
The concert is open to the general public, so if there is anyone interested in the Chicago area, tickets can be found online.
