Barnes & Noble booksellers have a big Taschen hardcover on Impressionism for a nice price, but the reproductions of the works were just too tiny for my liking, though the book is still a nice introduction to the work.

You need the XXL size Taschen books... Their sales are excellent, they tend to do two a year, January and June, so one should be soon.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one here with a collection of wildlife artist Robert Bateman.
Also his calendar art.

Nope, there a two of us. He is underrated by the 'establishment', my profile pic is one his, and I've been lucky to meet Bob a few times, as he lives the next province over.

As mentioned previously, the Taschen sale starts on the 28 Jan. Certainly good if in the US, and ok if in Canada - but worth checking against book prices on Amazon.

I recommend this website if checking on Amazon prices https://camelcamelcamel.com/ It checks against US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia varieties. Worth setting up a free account to get the email alerts.

After a Boston visit a couple of years ago, I picked up a nice book of John Singer Sargent's works.

Just delivered, a new book, The Art Of Pulp Fiction: An Illustrated History Of Vintage Paperbacks. I love this stuff: westerns, war, adventure, detective/crime, Science fiction & fantasy, some fantastic art.

Oh yes. These pictures are there to sell the paperbacks, & a load of blokes on the cover just doesn't do it. It's usually women in peril being saved by the hero, but occasionally they flip it around have the women in charge. Great pictures.

Here are 2 art books I purchased in 2015.

This one for $45.00

This one for $75.00

They’re both the same artist working in the 1400s Belgium area, just known by different names.

Pretty insane.
