These types of concerts are not very popular and the 2 or 3 conductors you mention as able to handle this impossibly monumental task are more than sufficient to meet all planetary demand.

I saw one here in Western Canada a couple of months ago, and even although the program said it was the regular philharmonic conductor, and it appeared to be him on stage, it clearly could not have been (because the concert was successful).

of course I meant among the film music composers, pal.
Of course conductors outside of the film scoring business are trained to do that for their whole life, especially when they worked in opera houses. They can do it. Someone not trained and experienced in it for years and decades also
can do it, but he 'd need so much preparation.

It was incredibly good. Fabulous performance and atmosphere. James Cameron made a surprise appearance at the end and joined Horner on stage for the final bow. The score took on a whole new life and I now crave an expanded 20th anniversary release in 2017.

Looks great. Just Great.

The Titanic Live concert was superb. The orchestra nailed it as did the Irish band and the soloists and boys choir.

To see Horner, Cameron and Wicki on the podium was just great.

As I was leaving I noticed James Cameron and approached him to ask for his autograph. Security stopped me, but he very graciously moved around them to shake my hand, thank me for coming and express his admiration of Horner.

The BAFTA event on the Wednesday was excellent. Great interview by Tommy Pearson, great responses by Horner and loved the film clips and surrounding discussion. There were also questions from the floor which was great and Horner's answers were candid, funny and informative.

It was great that JH spent time at the end to talk to members of the audience, sign albums and have photos. I even managed, with permission, a selfie!! And had small chat with my favourite composer!

Small world - I was actually stood behind you when this happened! Cameron was waiting for the elevator!
