Now I am glad that I ordered the cheaper version.

But I think that the Tardis version will be a collector´s gem. I think that there will be 300-500 sets made or even less...

Same here.
But as I know our Customs & Post services, I think that I'll get my "light" version in same time when happy people will get TARDIS-version - they works really slow - it's usually takes than 14 days after package leave US or any other country. My uncle received his package from US to Canada in 4 days, all Customs' operation took 1 day, and here - one week (minimum)! frown

They've said that the TARDIS version will be limited to 1000 copies.

Now it's not funny!

Many apologies, but this product will be delayed. We were hoping to ship DOCTOR WHO: THE ELEVEN DISC EDITION on the 15th of September, but due to a small error, we have had to reprint part of the packaging which means that the finished box set will not be ready to ship until approximately the end of September. We have been given a date of the 29th but will update you if it is any earlier. The delay should not be more than two weeks.

Thank you for your patience and apologies again.

I understand that mostly the same situation was with Burton/Elfman set.
But at least people who pre-order B/E set got bonus CD as compensation!
Maybe they can send Adventure in Time And Space as bonus (or something else).
It's not funny to those, who (as myself) ALREADY made full payment... frown

Speaking of Doctor Who music, I've just discovered Murray Gold's awesome music. Does anyone know of any upcoming Who releases?

None have been scheduled or announced, but at this point besides the two 11th Doctor specials (Day of the Doctor, Time of the Doctor), they're up to date. I'm hoping to get a "specials" album, but if not we may not see anything until the end of series 8.

Great. I've been wondering if a Series 7 Specials CD would be announced. Time will tell I suppose.

I think it was said those specials used a lot of tracked music from other episodes.

Was there any new music recorded for Day and Time?

I remember reading an interview with Gold about why he chose to score 11's last scene with "The Long Song" - maybe in the booklet for the S7 score, or maybe in a piece about the special - although I guess he could have meant "scored with a previously existing version" rather than recording a new version. I also remember - maybe the same article, maybe elsewhere - reading about Gold working on Time of the Doctor on his laptop on an airplane and hoping that nobody realized what he was working on.

I guess the set should be retitled as Doctor When.

As long as it's out by November 22nd they're good, right?

Not much, but there was some. I particularly liked the subdued version of series 1's Doctor's Theme in one of the War Doctor/Rose dialogue scenes early in Day, and the beginning of the regeneration sequence in Time.

I received the box last week. The book is modest but music is fabulous. I don´t regret buying it!

Just got notification that the TARDIS box is finally being delivered next Monday. Only 1 year and 1 day late! :-)

The music from this set is well worth the money (I have the box version not TARDIS version). (I just wish there was more from 4th & 5th Doctors)

The other day I had some free time so I scanned covers from the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Collection.

You can get them at www.albumartexchange.com

Try this direct link (it may not work) http://www.albumartexchange.com/covers.php?q=%22Scott+H.%22

Enjoy!

Wow - The Tardis Box Set found ist way to my new home much faster than I did. big grin

So it's here in all it's glory and I'd like to share a few comments:

* Package arrived in excellent collection, the Box was well protected in blue foam.

* To me it seems this Box is a LOT more solid than the "Elfman & Burton" Box, the wood is really thick.

* Electronics are indeed working, though the Sound chip is (luckily?) a rather quiet one.
(In any case you can turn it off on the backside because light and sound are being emitted as long as the Box is open)

* The way the CDs are packaged I find a wee bit unpractical as you first have to open the box, then pull out the DVD-Case, then get rid off the slipp case and finally open the Digi-Pack itself!
(Not to forget that you need the booklet to find the right track on the CD itself!)

But in any case in the end it's all about the music and I'm copying it to my HD anyway - so no big deal at all!

* And finally: I got Number #202 wink

Over and out now.
Hopefully I'll be able to listen to one or more CDs this evening! smile

Thanks Scott for those covers. It's something I've been meaning to do for a while, but yours are way better than mine would have been.
