Hi
I came across the CD release of Iva Davies soundtrack to 'Razorback' in a local Hi-Fi store today in Australia. It's paired with his music to a stage production called 'Boxes'.

Iva Davies also has it on his website page.

The packaging is cardboard slip case and there is just a small liner note from Iva about scoring the movie.

I'm not seeing a CD release anywhere on his website. I see an iTunes link, for iTunes Australia.

Am I missing something?

The JB Hifi store ships worldwide. Just ordered the CD. Love the score to Razorback. Glad to see it's finally on CD smile

If you scroll down the Icehouse-Iva Davies page to Re-release albums link, it will take you to another page which has CD and mp3. But it looks like he doesn't have the physical CD as yet in his store. As Lewis & Clark said that the JB Hi-Fi on line store ships worldwide.

The Icehouse facebook page reads that it'll be available on iTunes International soon.

With any luck SAE might catch wind of it and order copies for it's store.

I like Davies' band Icehouse, especially their 1984 album Sidewalk and the 1987 hit Man Of Colors.

Very cool, I've ordered from JB Hifi before. I have a rip from the lp and was hoping this would get a release on CD. Might order it with the Umbrella Blu-ray release, that lists an interview with Iva Davies as well.

$38 after shipping is mighty pricey! I was told the CD will be available from Iva Davies' site next month. Perhaps it will be a little cheaper.

Well the currency is australian dollars, but I don't think there is that much difference between US and australian currency; the CD is listed at 29.99 $ AUS which converts to 27,73 $ US.

Yeah, but shipping is $7.23. So I guess $35. I'll probably bite the bullet, I just hate when i pay a premium and it pops up on Amazon for $15.

Yeah, might be wise to wait it out a bit; also Jbhifi does do discounts and promotions as well, wouldn't be surprised if in a few months they'll have lowered the price on it anyway.

Just got it today (Switzerland), which is quite fast. Still love it after all this years - it might not be the most sophisticated composition but 80th synth scores have such sexyness - if you know what I mean wink

Cool! What is the sound quality and other score like?

Sound quality is excellent! I also love the artwork on the cover - it's not the original movie art but it's very stylish. Time to dig out the movie again smile
Haven't had the time to listen to boxes yet...
