... this board has grown some rather trivial habits the past couple years...
...like kvetching over the "proper" amount of time that must pass before a thread dedicated to a performer or other film figure can be started? 
Personally I think recalling the scores of films in which the late performer appeared is a fitting and rather nice way to remember someone who's died instead of wagging a pale, accusatory, still-living-with-one's-parents-in-their-attic finger at one another like some whacked-out clone of the Dennis Hopper (R.I.P.) character in Apocalypse Now.
AMEN!!!
This is a CELEBRATION of an actor who is no longer with us. Geez...

I'm fine with the celebration, but he was an ACTOR (a great presence in any film or show he appeared in, as well), not a composer or even a director, so he belongs in the welcoming arms of the Non-Film Score Discussion, that's all.
Find some clips on YouTube, make some clips yourself. You want to tribute the actor, go ahead. But, like others have said, he had nothing to do with the music in the films he was in (unless you want to count the ridiculous scene at the end of The Game where he dances like an idiot and almost ruins the tone of the movie).

For your information, that last scene where he "dances like an idiot" is my favorite scene of the movie, and it always brings a smile to my face. A perfect way of ending the film with a light mood, after 2+ hours with unease.

At least Jack Nicholson would be worthy of a Silva compilation bearing his name, which was one of my earlier points. Rebhorn was a fine actor, but never a character in a movie who deserved even a brief motif, let alone a theme.
We can debate whose musical tastes are more in line with Earthlings in a different thread.
I still think a more fitting tribute would be housed on a different area of this board, otherwise where does it end? "BEST SCORE FROM KEY GRIP CHRIS CENTRELLA MOVIE?"
