What's up with everyone having to call him MR. Favor???!!! Even the trail hands who have been with him for years and are older than him, like Mushy, can't call him Gil?
What's up with everyone having to call him MR. Marshall???!!!
hEY, if star composer mark Isham can call me MISTER* , so can all you trolls and fanboys! bruce
Did you review the 1964 episode with Dina Merrill "....Gilded Goddess"? Rowdy slugs her in true MWNN fashion.
I wonder if that ep was shot before or after he went to Italy for FISTFUL shoot? He was definitely a tougher character than the early easy goin' Rowdy, And, Fleming seemed drunk or sometin' the whole ep! brm
I just started watching Rawhide, which I don't remember being on British TV growing up. I'm impressed by it. The stories so far are varied and the production values seem quite high. They've been in four different towns alreàdy and none are obviously reused sets. After watching The Rat Patrol, that's a relief.
The music is solid too and I enjoy see the various guest stars. There were several that were also in Rat Patrol and a great turn by Lon Chaney in one episode.I'm a big Eastwood fan and he's decent in this butvtheres not much hint if the superstar he'd become.
Gil Favor's character is a bit pious. Even when he directly causes the death of a hand, hes still somehow written as being in the right.
It's nice to see the cook character of Wishbone, he's a fun turn and I recognised him from High Plains Drifter. I'm enjoying it do far, about 7 episodes in. I do wonder how they shot all the cattle driving scenes. They are frequent and must have been a logistical nightmare and cost a fortune.
It also made me want to find and read The Chisholm Trail. It seems like the life would be interesting to read about.

Season One. Ta, I'll check out that film too. Even in the series they mrntion interesting aspects of cattle drives that make me want to watch/read more. There seems to be a nice variety in the episodes too.
