Speaking of TV horror scores, I havent seen this posted on FSM so I'll start a new thread elsewhere. I, DESIRE - THE VAMPIRE (1982 TVmovie) composed by Don Peake
Oh, I'll definitely be getting this. Thanks for the heads up. I've picked up all of the titles in the Harnell series so far and they're all fantastic. Besides, as a horror score fanatic, it's a no-brainer for me, and the inclusion of the Les Baxter (hell yeah!) contributions is the icing on the cake.
I listened to the Les Baxter samples and bought this based solely on those. Very much along the lines of his AIP gothic/macabre scores, from what I could hear.
If the stuff by the other composers is as good, all the better.
just listening to this now. Disc 1 seems to have an emphasis on action cues. Disc 2 has more horror music and other interesting riffs, and is preferable to my ears. Guess I'll have to track down the miniseries to get a better appreciation.
Played it a couple more times - actually both discs are entertaining. Themes vary abit, so you notice something different each time, depending on your attention and mood.
I'd like to see I Desire too. Really needs to be released. Had Barbara Stock. One of her earliest appearances. Fell in love. She made the part work.
there's always youtube:
I'm kind if disappointed that no one seems to know this was released on cd. Just found out that it was around oct 2013. There were even autographed copies. Saw today darkdel and after searching old email buysoundtrax.com.

Anyone take the time to listen to it yet? Ford A. Thaxton
um, I posted a short review above. Am I even on Ford's Ignore list?
On a tangent, I've only tracked down a copy of the edited TVmovie version with the ending omitted. There's one intentionally hilarious scene where Drac gets pulled over by a motorcycle cop and pretends to have forgotten his license.
I have the entire series (including the only aired overseas finale for the other two serials) and that was what motivated me to pick up the CD set this week. That motorcycle cop scene is why the cue of course is called "C.H.I.p Snack!" That said, the Dracula serial was the best of the three and I've enjoyed going through the music.
