I'm doing an on-line radio show of movie music but, to cater to the non-aficionados, I'm trying to intersperse songs as opposed to thematic material.
Things as diverse as Whale of a Tale, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Charro, by Elvis, A Certain Smile even, or especially, the like of Blazing Saddles. Stuff like that. possibly even hit songs which were not featured in the film but associated with it.
"The Way We Were" - Marvin Hamlisch "Goldfinger" - John Barry "Moon River" - Henry Mancini "The Look of Love" - Burt Bacaharach "More" - Riz Ortolani "The Shadow of Your Smile" - Johnny Mandel "Born Free" - John Barry "Alfie" - Burt Bacharach "Come Saturday Morning" - Fred Karlin "Gonna Fly Now" - Bill Conti "Nobody Does It Better" - Marvin Hamlisch "9 To 5" - Dolly Parton "Against All Odds" - Phil Collins "High Noon (Do Not Forsake Me, Oh My Darlin')" - Dimitri Tiomkin "Love Is a Many Splendored Thing" - Sammy Fain "Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Qué Será, Será)" - Jay Livingston and Ray Evans "Days of Wine and Roses" - Henry Mancini
Bob has named most of the good ones. I have added a few older classics to it as well as my favourite songs from UK cinema.

Some terrific, off-the-wall suggestions here as expected.
I'm trying in vain though to find a recording of Frankie Laines' title song to Gunfight at the Okay Corral which includes the Paramount/VistaVision opening logo.
Any ideas where I might purchase this either as a CD Track or MP3 please?
