For federal taxes, I tend to use Turbotax.com - I can't compare it to the others, because I've always filed via Turbotax, but they make it fairly painless. The only thing you have to watch out for, is that they walk you through the state income tax forms, but then charge you $$ if you want them to file those for you. Just choose the federal forms only, and that's free. Filing state and local/municipal taxes are really dependent on where you live, as far as how you can eFile, where you can eFile, and IF you can eFile. For Pennsylvania, you can just go to the state revenue department's website and quickly eFile. For municipal taxes, the forms they mail you will likely include eFile information if that's available.
