Film aside, what's the general view of the score?

Just wondering because I've always enjoyed it.

I personally like it very much.
Remember when it came out and it was criticized for being too loud. But compared to some other works that appear today, it could be considered almost like some kind of a modern Star Trek...

Haven't listened to it in years, but remember quite enjoying it.
Gonna give it another spin tonight.

That's what I love about this place, sometimes scores are brought up I haven't thought about in ages smile

I like it a lot and find it TONS more memorable than anything recently from other action films like it.
