Producer/writer Simon Kinberg said he wants a Mystique movie, “I love what Jen Lawrence has done with her, and I feel like because she is in such a crowded ensemble, there’s so much more opportunity if you were to follow her solo.”

SAUSAGE PARTY---Salma Hayek will be the voice of a taco in Sony Pictures' R-rated animated comedy movie about a sausage and his food friends who fall out of a supermarket shopping cart and must return to their aisles before the 4th of July sale. The cast includes Seth Rogen, James Franco, Kristen Wiig and Edward Norton.

Really? TIMECOP is the film you're crying 'remake foul' on? It's not like it's an untouchable masterpiece in the first place. Could do with a new interpretation, IMO.

And what would he do? He was a fantastic soldier, but a political leader?

PARAMOUNT TELEVISION---Paramount TV is developing new tv series based on movies [...] and the novel THE ALIENIST.

Great! The Alienist is excellent (and the sequel is very good too).
I remember reading that Francis Ford Coppolo had meant to make an adaptation of it starring Anthony Hopkins, about the time of Dracula; Hopkins would have been perfect.
Jonathan Pryce would have been very good as well, at the time he did Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Nowadays, I would think of Gary Oldman.
Anyone else for the role?
I hope this project will come to fruition, be well done and successful.

Now if you want to pick a Peter Hyams picture to remake it would be Outland.

Ripe for remake.

If you really think Washington favors communist policies you either have no idea what communism is or you're not paying attention to what's going on in Washington. And if you really think it's funny, let alone a good idea, to discuss rounding up and killing people, then I don't even know what to say to you.

Good day.

This was announced at one point but there's been no further news:

There was also news about a Capricorn One remake, but nothing since:

I love that people - presumably adults - can't stop themselves from typing about politics on a board that expressly forbids it.

THE LATE SHOW---CBS announced that Stephen Colbert will replace David Letterman when he retires in 2015.

Really going to miss The Colbert Report. That's his shtick. Other wise he's just another late night comedian with a band, and a side kick. I couldn't care less what album a singer is plugging or what film an actor is plugging. What a waste of talent. I'm sure the gig will be financially beneficial for him however.

TO Mastadge- Killing people, that is what Washington helps do. unless maybe when you were born it was different then billions of other people AND OH YES THE MILLIONS THAT DIDN'T MAKE IT.But if you want to ignore a big chunk of reality that sadly too many do. so be it.

Colbert is too good for network TV. I don't want to see him end up like others of that ilk.
