THE REVENANT---Leonardo DiCaprio stars in this movie based on the novel about an 1823 fur trapper who is mauled by a bear and is then robbed and left for dead by the two men who were supposed to help him. He journeys through the wilderness to seek revenge. Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (BABEL) Is the director.
FREUD: THE SECRET CASEBOOK---tv series underway from Nicholas Meyer (STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN, TIME AFTER TIME) and Frank Spotnitz (THE X-FILES) about Sigmund Freud described as, "Set in the glittering, but volatile world of early 20th century Vienna, Freud will use his startling new theories about psychology to help solve crimes," and "blend episodic murder mysteries with the on-going story of Freud’s tangled and provocative personal life."
GAMBIT---Channing Tatum confirmed he wants to play the superhero, "I met with [producer] Lauren Shuler Donner. And I would love it. Gambit is really the only X-Man I’ve ever loved."
THE GOOD LORD BIRD---movie underway based on the novel about a young slave who poses as a girl and is freed by abolitionist John Brown and their journey to the Harper Ferry's Raid. Liev Schreiber and Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith, star.
FRIDAY THE 13TH---reboot, found footage movie underway which is not a sequel to the 2009 reboot movie. David Bruckner (THE SIGNAL) is in negotiations to direct.
BORDER GUARDS---comedy movie underway at Sony Pictures starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly as two friends who become border guards on the US/Mexico border where they find themselves stuck in Mexico and try to sneak back into the US.
SUPERIOR---movie underway at 20th Century Fox based on the comic book about a 12-year-old boy, stricken with multiple sclerosis, is granted his wish to become a superhero by an alien. Matthew Vaughn (KICK-A**) is the director. 20th Century Fox is also developing another movie based on a comic book, WHO IS JAKE ELLIS? with the script by Seth Lochhead (HANNA).
THE SIN SEER---movie underway about a psychic woman helps solve crimes but finds herself and her new partner connected to their latest case. Lisa Arrindell Anderson, Michael Ironside, C. Thomas Howell and Isaiah Washington star.
DEVIL IN MY RIDE---comedy horror movie in which a bride is possessed by the Devil on her wedding night which forces her husband and her brother to travel from Chicago to Las Vegas to find the last remaining exorcist in the US to save her.
