This is mostly for the Northeast USA but keep an eye out everyone else.
What I originally thought was just a one-store sale might actually be across the entire FYE chain. There are two within driving distance of me and they are both running an in-store 1/2 OFF all Used Soundtracks (and Used Jazz and Used Classical).
So far I've netted some pretty good stuff:
Ten Commandments for $11 Proof Of Life for $2 Ed Wood for $3 The Hours $2 The Seige for $3
and a couple of others that are escaping memory at the moment. Obviously, nothing revolutionary but you can't go wrong at these prices. But the big winner was a 30 disc Ralph Vaughn Williams set from BMI for $20.
Since I have an fye store within walking distance I'm in there quite a bit and I've bought quite a few used items from them over the years without ever having an issue. The stock obviously rotates regularly on these things so checking back often can be rewarding. For those who've never been in one of these stores, the place is one of the last remaining brick and mortar chain Cd/Dvd/Blu outlets still around in the NYC metro area so it's a treat to still be able to actually thumb through the bins and find a few surprises like the "good ol' days". When I read this thread I went down and found a few really good bargains. The used prices at fye for the most part are already low but 50% more off during this sale is like practically giving the stuff away.
Found Today at 50% off. All used in mint condition.
