Does anyone know of any film music CDs that have been mastered with pre emphasis? Pre emphasis is unlikely to have been applied to any modern releases, but it may have been applied to some CDs from the 1980s. The only disc that I have come across in my research is VSD-5353, Varese's Gerhardt re recording of "The Empire Strikes Back."

The issue is that with the rise of digital extraction/transport that does not carry the pre emphasis flag and the decline of CD players it is going to be more and more difficult as time goes on to play back this music with proper de emphasis. So, I am curious if some of the similarly tech minded aficionados have noted film music CDs mastered with pre emphasis.
