I was watching "Jeopardy" the other day, and was watching the Final Jeopardy! And they had a question regarding an episode of "Breaking Bad" and was referring to Tommy James & The Shondells' "Crystal Blue Persuasion" as underscoring. I say, why do they have to come up with a question regarding an existing piece of music when instead they could come out with a question about who scored "Victory At Sea"?

Primarily because no contestant on "Jeopardy" has ever seen "Victory at Sea" and wouldn't know Richard Rodgers from Roy Rogers.

Oh, I'm sure more than one or two Jeopardy! contestants have seen Victory at Sea and know the difference between those two.

Because people are basically dumb and can't explore music beyond the brainwashing top 40.
