Jeanne Jones, a collector I've known the longest (she makes me drool when she talks about her luncheon with Miklos Rosza, which is why she doesn't want to have lunch with me anymore) wanted me to put up this picture. She says the top 3 prizes went to these 3 ladies (including the year of Varese club releases) Caroline Yeh, Jeanne Jones and Jeannie Prombo. And that breaks up the myth the soundtrack collector realm is a totally male one.
It was a great gathering, loved it. However if I really must say something negative then it was the fact that I thought that the 2nd raffle was held a little bit to fast (for me). I had a little bit hard to follow which "ticket" to look at and it was way too many numbers to remember for each ticket. But other that I must congratulate Peter for doing a great event (again).

I called the color of the ticket for the raffle and each paid raffle had a word at the top, so like for instance, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, it said MR. at the top to help folks even more. Snowpiercer has the word SNOW at the top of the ticket along with me saying this is the BLUE ticket. Or whatever color ticket it was. Time was of the essence as we had to get through them quickly as the composers had to leave and get back to work some of them. Next time you come we'll have some help for ya my friend SO glad you came all the way from Sweden, WOW WOW WOW!
I was so thrilled to see the photos of John Scott. I have become such a huge fan of his this past year. "King of the Wind" is stunning and of course, "Winter People/Prayer For the Dying". My next purchase is going to be "Shergar". I imagine him as being a very kind man. Maybe I am wrong but he just looks that way.

Agreed with all of this. John has emerged as what I regard as one of the most symphonically gifted composers ever, for film or otherwise. No one can orchestrate as well as him - no one - never mind that amazing gift for melody he has!
I have a series of meetings in LA circa October and I actually plan to reach out to his agent to see if I can set up a lunch meeting with him. Listening to him speak was wonderful, as were the thoughts of all these composers!
