Though the film was a letdown (despite some good supporting players and a clever premise), Eidelman's score is a gem. My favorite aspect, without question, is the motif for Jack's creative process. Absolutely delightful.

A damn pity that Eidelman was one of (too) many composers in the 90s whose way with an orchestra went to seed when they were pushed out for lesser talents.

All My favorite composers who were pushed out by changing styles away from
Orchestras have all remained active. I wish they got more film work but they seem to have other avenues now. Eidelman’s recent symphony for example.
