Elmer Bernstein's score to the 1964 film THE CARPETBAGGERS was turned into the song, "Monica" with lyrics by Earl Shuman.

Singer Cassandra Nuss sees the music for the first time as she sight reads this performance. Mike Farrell is on piano.

One of Bernstein's loveliest romantic tunes, and the lyrics suit it. This is the first time I've heard it sung, in any context -- so thanks!
