Whoa, is that true? If so, that came out of nowhere. But I don't hope it's another one of those imdb glitches where they add the composer just because he's done previous films with the director. I hope not. I'd say it's high time the little slacker started scoring films again!

I know Atticus Ross is working on a new Mann film score and I had assumed this was the one, unless of course he's become victim #1 (since there's usually two victims per Mann film).

I never really trust IMDb on these kind of things, so I'll wait till anything is posted on filmmusicreporter. As much as I would love to see Goldenthal work with Mann again (or work on any film for that matter), the idea of Atticus Ross scoring this also sounds interesting

I've heard a UNCONFIRMED RUMOR they have brought in one of the 'Usual Suspects" with ties to the House of Zimmer to work on the film. This is unconfirmed, but given the history of the director, it has ring of truth to it. Ford A. Thaxton

As much as I would love to see Goldenthal work with Mann again To wit, HEAT was on last night and I watched the refinery surveillance sequence where Hanna watches as Neil sinks into the shadows. Of all the bombast on that soundtrack, that short cue is one of my absolute favorite pieces in the film. It's so sublimely disquieting.

So I guess we won't see Tangerine Dream, Jan Hammer, Michel Rubini, Tim Truman or John Petersen do some Mann-music again...

If not EG, John Murphy would be a good choice for this particular project. I wonder how their collaboration went on MIAMI VICE... After Miami Vice, I don't think we'll ever see Murphy working with Mann again
