On this Mother's Day I wanted to share a tribute to a very special mother (earth and otherwise) who we just lost way too soon. Annie Houncel Harvey was our own Clafong's (also known as Marshal Harvey) wife and like many a renaissance lady her influence went in all directions, to everyone she ever touched. This included a brief film music stint at our own LaLaland Records. But in that little moment she became a confidant to the LaLaLand lads, brought organization to an office that needed some of that, and added that little spark of mischief to the atmosphere that makes life tantalizing.

When her unexpected passing came about they stepped up and helped Marshal implement an extraordinary 2 CD set for her memorial. Along with Ford Thaxton and Mark Banning everyone contributed to making this a magnificent tribute. Under Marshal's supervision everything from the liner notes to the choice of songs, brings to life a magnificent songwriter, performer, actress, again a renaissance lady if there ever was one. The LaLaLand logo is on it and I believe it may be available in some form in the near future.

The memorial itself was THE most beautiful heartfelt and touching I've ever been to (And I've been to quite a lot). And nothing made it so as much as this video Marshal put together for it.
Indeed Mother's Day is a good moment to present it here. Her daughter Katharine and Marshal were her world and music was her life's blood:

So beautiful, young, talented and full of life. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences to Marshal and her family and everyone who knew her.

My heart breaks to see anyone pass, and when they are so young and vibrant.

Rest in Peace and God Bless.

Beautiful tribute!

It was such a loving tribute her husband put together. I'm glad they had tissues on the seats as I needed it. Annie was my make-up gal for when Marshall and I went to the Oscars and she TRULY helped make that day one of the BEST days of my life. Gonna miss her frown
