By sheer coincidence, I ordered 'The Wind and the Lion' on Blu Ray Disc and it should be arriving early next week. From the very first time I saw this film on it's initial release on the big screen, I was enraptured by two of it's attributes. Billy Williams magnificent Cinematography and Jerry Goldsmith's truly majestic and sweeping score. If I were a voting member of the Academy that year I'd have voted for Goldsmith (easily), over Williams 'Jaws'.
Slight correction on WIND AND THE LION, Andy. Connery's character is named Raisuli, not Raisuni.
I'm glad the BRD sound is an improvement over the old DVD, where Goldsmith's majestic, colorful score was ported in so loudly, I had to constantly turn the volume up for the dialogue and back down whenever the music (and the sound effects too, I believe) kicked in...
