75 years ago, the New York World's Fair unveiled the World of Tomorrow. One of the most popular exhibits was the first black and white polarized 3-D film.

IN TUNE WITH TOMORROW was shown daily in dual-35mm at the Chrysler Pavilion. Sadly, this landmark film does not survive in 3-D. However, NEW DIMENSIONS, the 3-D follow-up produced for the 1940 season does survive and we have restored it from original 35mm Technicolor elements.

We'll be including that short plus some amazing 3-D color images taken at the Fair in our upcoming Blu-ray release, 3-D RARITIES.

Thank you to Leonard Maltin for this wonderful article: http://blogs.indiewire.com/leonardmaltin/celebrating-3-d-on-its-75th-birthday

A shame the studios aren't releasing more classic 3-D titles to celebrate the occasion. Warner Home Video likes anniversaries, but from them, nothing.

I see that you will also be including the Beany and Cecil short M.L. GUNZBURG PRESENTS NATURAL VISION 3-DIMENSION in your 3-D RARITIES release because Flicker Alley included a still from it in their 2014 calender, for July.

Looking forward to 3-D RARITIES, Bob.

Thank you, Richard.

I agree, the lack of 3-D titles on Blu-ray from the studios is very discouraging. We know that HD masters are ready to go on MISS SADIE THOMPSON, THE MAD MAGICIAN and INFERNO.

They've only been released as burn-on-demand DVD-R's. INFERNO is Fox, MISS SADIE THOMPSON and THE MAD MAGICIAN are Sony / Columbia.

I wonder if MAN IN THE DARK (Sony / Columbia) is selling well for Twilight Time. Twilight Time is probably the best chance those films have of being released in 3-D blu.

Your 3-D RARITIES from Flicker Alley is my most anticipated release of the year. Not into superheroes, I'm afraid.
