Well, that was probably the best yet in the series IMO. That scene with Quicksilver is worth the ticket price alone. A real crowd pleaser.

Let the arguments and armchair criticism commence.

What I wrote a few days ago:

I saw it yesterday evening and while it started off amazing with the futuristic setting, after that it becomes very drawn out; too much dialogue and speeches, too many characters and while the past part had some adventure, the future part as the movie progresses is mostly people standing around with the now elderly cast making for great set furniture. The main focus is of course on the two crowd favorites, Wolverine and Jennifer Lawrence, and they do have their moments, but a lot of it felt repetitive and without consequence (and in a time travel movie, that is a huge mistake IMO).

As for the supposed stand out sequence with the superfast mutant meh, seen that before. So while all the characters were there, the story for me felt underwhelming. It felt to me on the same level as the Seinfeld finale if that makes sense.

So safe to say I was not that impressed with it, did like X-men First Class a lot though.

I absolutely loved it, both film and score. The final scene was really cool. And be sure to stay for the post-credits teaser. (I didn't see Stan Lee in this one). wink

Oops. Was there already a new Xmen thread? I must have missed it.

I believe the capacity to recline is a mistake. They should all be rigid and static. And avoid wool or nylon based upholstery. Leather is probably best.

Going to see it this late afternoon on the strength of winning £25 on the lottery and all of us being a little under the weather of late so feeling that we deserve a treat. Not that I have to explain myself to you smile

It's a 3D showing and for once I've pushed the boat out and booked VIP seats (to continue War's armchair musings). I'll let you know my thoughts later, because I know you'll be with child to know them!

It's pretty sad that Colossus is shown to be as effective as a stationary column in these movies. Has he ever been shown (on camera) throwing a punch?
