I`ve read blabbery about a season 3 now. Anybody know when a season 2 will hit BluRay/DVD? I couldn`t find any listings on Amazon - its been quite some time since they promoted it with clips.

Latest season has started and im really struggling to stay interested.
Endless scenes of imagination and dreams and rivers of blood and throats cut and things objects coming to life.
I find myself saying Oh no more! Get on with it!
About 90 per cent less dream sequences and the pace might improve.

I tried with this show (big fan of ALL of the movies....), but quickly lost interest....then gave it another go a year later and - well, I'm hooked! Season 2 was great....Season 3 has started slowly but we all know where this is going, and quite frankly I can't bloody (lol) wait...best show on TV right now....

Ive watched the series since the beginning, and it has always over-indulged on the imagery.
Ok, we get it, but its just hammering the nail in so far its gone right thru and theyr still hitting it.
Each dream sequence of blood is accompanied by dissonnent greenwood-style drumming and one-tone shrieking.
Enuf already.
Meanwhile i couldnt tell you what happened in episode one.
There was some mad imagery, some lengthy ambiguous dialogue, more imagery, theyre now in italy, more imagery, he meets an italian cop. Hannibal is lurking somewhere near. Thats it.

I still can't believe something this dark, envelope pushing, and almost abstract is running on network television. The first three episodes of season three are truly a test for a casual viewer. (And who would be CASUALLY viewing HANNIBAL?)

Were any part of its elegant production not up to snuff, it would fall apart. I watch transfixed week after week. Brian Reizell's score is not one I'm going to order at SAE tomorrow but it's wall-to-wall use encases the show in a singular atmosphere in line with the rest of the show elements.

(And, why am I not surprised to learn that the show employs the services of a world class food stylist?)

vinylscrubber, thanks for the information.

I'm struggling a bit with season 2. It has always had its dark atmosphere, but watching close ups of snails for huge, extended periods of time isn't scary, even if they end up on a body. I'm rather bored so far. I'd like to see the pace improve as well as the narrative.

I think what we are currently watching is Season 3 which NBC says is the final season.

Yes, slow season 3.
When i bumped it to chat season 3, i couldnt find another thread this side that wasnt talking about the score.
Season 2 was best option.
I nearly did that post in flashback, with some blood spurting imagery with irritating manic drumming.
