I've gotten off the train from my commute. I'm trudging with the rest of the rat race participants toward the exit gates.
I've bundled up the newspaper I found on the platform and read on the train. I do what I always do, which is to do an over-the-head toss when I pass the recycle bin. I've had plenty of practice, so it lands squarely in.
Unlike the many, many other days when I do this, when the other Epsilon Semi-Morons like me are trudging home from the mines, I'm not met with silence. I hear young voices behind me whispering, "Wow, ""that was so unexpected" and "awesome."
When I'm out of the gate and standing still, I see it's a group of teens. When they pass, one of them says to me "That is the coolest thing I've ever seen!"
The kids, they're in charge of cool, right? So I guess I've made it!

Had it been me, I'd likely have zeroed out my new coolness by sticking out my hand, palm up, and saying something stupid like "Outtasight! Gimme some skin!"

I don't know about this, it's DavidInBerkeley after all. It's probably only a matter of time before he starts beating up kids and taking their lunch-money, and getting his picture in the papers alongside Kim Kardashian.

Thor, unlike you who is ever-youthful and gets carded in bars still, me doing video would mean three caravans for makeup alone!
Besides, Unsworth, Hall, Fraker.... all my best camera men are gone.
